School photographs become part of a family’s history.
They capture missing front teeth, gangly limbs and the little expressions that parents know so well.
Framed, or tucked into albums and rediscovered years later, these photos mark a stage that passes all too quickly. For parents, they freeze time.
For children, they’re a snapshot of who they were in that moment.
That’s why I take a different approach.
No rushed sessions. No forced smiles.
Just natural photographs that feel honest, relaxed and full of personality.
why these photos matter
I take the time each child needs.
Some walk in ready to go. Others need a moment to settle, to watch, to warm up.
I never rush that.
I keep things light, fun and relaxed so children feel safe being themselves.
That’s when the magic happens.
No. o1
The best sibling photos happen somewhere between the giggles, the cuddles and the occasional bit of sibling chaos. I keep things relaxed and let their personalities do the rest.
No. o2
Class photos are kept fun and straightforward. I organise things quickly, keep the energy high, and get several group shots per class without it feeling like a big production.

My approach
01
Children relax when they’re not being rushed or told how to behave in front of a camera.
I give them time, space and a bit of silliness so they can just be themselves. That’s when you get the real expressions parents recognise and love.
For schools, it means a calm, organised photo day that doesn’t disrupt the rhythm of the school.
No pressure. No chaos. Just a simple process that works.
02
They see their child as they really are.
Not stiff. Not forced. Proper smiles and real personality.
They also get a choice of images, which makes a big difference. More images to choose from means they end up with photos they genuinely love, not just the one they have to pick.
And everything is simple to view and order online.
03
It runs smoothly from start to finish.
I keep things calm, organised and low-pressure for staff and children.
Communication is clear, timings are respected, and everything is handled without adding workload to your team. I am super organised and live for the details.
You get awesome feedback from parents, and a photo day that feels easy rather than stressful.
I am a mum and I care : As a parent, I understand just how important it is to have these school photos. I know the disappointment of opening a gallery and finding photos that don’t look anything like your child.
I take my time : Children don't always perform; some need a little extra time, and I am there to give it.
I won't force smiles : Plonk a child down and ask them to say cheese - it is a recipe for a blooming awful photo. I don't and won't ever do that. I chat to every child, I laugh, pull silly faces, make jokes, and ask questions.
This brings out the best in them and lets me capture beautiful photos, naturally.
Being outside : Takes all the pressure away from the children. No lights and off-putting flashes. It allows a playful nature to come into effect.
Independent, Not Corporate : This is my business, which I have built from the ground up, and I care! I am a one-woman band; I work every school myself, I edit every photo myself, and I pack every order myself. With 15+ years of experience, I am really good at what I do.
I'll give 100% to every child
we will have a lot of fun
i'm organised + love the details
YOU WILL LOVE WHAT WE CREATE
MY PROMISE to you
happy parents

You want traditional photos the way they have always been.

You don't see value in great photography.
It is A OK, it just means we won't be a good fit.

I always work in a way that ensures school staff are present and involved throughout the sessions. Safeguarding is at the heart of everything I do. With over 15 years of experience in the photography industry, I’ve worked across nursery, school, and SEND settings, creating a calm, supportive environment for every child.
The best times for photos are May, June, September, or October. These months allow us to make the most of warmer weather and your outdoor spaces.
Being outside helps the photos feel more relaxed and gives them a unique look and feel.
I get booked up quickly, so it’s usually best to confirm your booking around 12 months in advance to secure your preferred dates.
Because I don’t “click and run,” I like to take the time to get the best from the children. The process is calmer, more relaxed, and gives every child a chance to relax in front of the camera.
For a school with 6/7 classes, I’m usually on site for around 1 to 1.5 full days, photographing roughly 215 children per day.
Mornings work best for younger year groups, they’re fresh, smart, and ready to go before the day (and the lunchtime yoghurts!) take over!
Day two is often focused on siblings and any missed children, keeping things smooth and stress-free.
We’re in the UK, so a backup plan is always sensible. Which is why we book 2 dates. Wherever possible, I like to remain outside to keep the photos relaxed and natural.
If the weather is really heavy and it’s not possible to shoot outdoors, Then we will have to rearrange for another day.
If you ever need to reschedule, I kindly ask for a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.
Yes, I can rename files with an identifier that links with your system, ensuring each photo is matched to the correct student.
Please note: Sims users require a special paid licence from Capita Sims to allow the images to populate automatically into the school database.
This is a different experience from traditional school photography.
Each child has a calm, unhurried mini session during the school day. I take more time with every child so they can relax, have fun, and show real personality, rather than the typical, quick click and move on.
The children enjoy the process and feel more at ease, and that staff appreciate how smoothly the sessions fit into the day.
Traditional school photography usually offers one or two images per child at a lower fixed price. My approach gives a larger gallery from that mini session, with more variety to choose from.
Parents choose their favourite images from each child and bring everything together in one simple order, giving full flexibility across siblings without separate minimum spends per child. Digital images start from £22. Prints start from £15. This gives families the freedom to choose the images they love most and create a set that feels right for their family.
There is no cost to the school and no upfront fee. The service is funded entirely through parent orders.
The difference is not just price. It is time with each child, the experience on the day, and the freedom families have in what they choose to keep.
