ETHOS + VALUES

Green POLICY

I believe creativity and sustainability can go hand in hand. I’m committed to reducing the environmental impact of my work, both behind the scenes and on shoot days.

This policy outlines the steps I currently take and the principles that guide my decisions as I continue to grow a responsible and conscious business.

What I do now:

Paperless Workflow
All contracts, questionnaires, booking forms, and invoices are digital. Communication is handled via email, phone or video call, eliminating unnecessary paper.

Sustainable USBs
USBs, when used, are wooden and sourced from a UK-based supplier, minimising plastic use and overseas shipping.

Eco-Friendly Packaging
Any printed extras or gift items are made from sustainable materials and sourced locally. Where possible I avoid plastic and single-use wrapping.

Plastic-Free Print Protection
Prints are delivered in packaging made from recycled paper and card. I buy these from a UK packaging company with strong eco credentials.

Bulk Ordering
I buy supplies in bulk to reduce transport emissions and minimise repeat packaging waste.

Home Office
Running my business from home lowers travel emissions and cuts energy use that would otherwise come from heating and powering a commercial studio.

Rechargeable Equipment
All my camera gear uses rechargeable batteries to help reduce waste from disposables.

Eco-Focused Print Labs
I partner with UK-based labs that offer environmentally friendly papers and sustainable packaging.

Product Choice with Purpose
I don’t offer plastic-heavy products like magnets, mugs or keyrings. These don’t align with my long-term values or commitment to quality and sustainability.

Conscious Travel Planning
When travel is required. I plan efficiently to group meetings or shoots when possible and avoid unnecessary journeys.

Local Sourcing Where Possible
Wherever I can, I choose suppliers who are local to me, supporting small businesses while reducing shipping distances and emissions.

What I aim to do going forward:

 • Offset necessary travel emissions through verified and ethical carbon offsetting schemes
 • Research sustainable alternatives for any products or suppliers not yet meeting my standards
 • Continue learning from other eco-conscious businesses and stay up-to-date with best practices
 • Have honest conversations with clients, schools, and partners about sustainability
 • Review this policy annually and improve wherever I can

Sustainability is part of how I show up in the world, as a business owner, a parent, and a photographer.
If you have any recommendations, tips, or eco suppliers you love, I’d genuinely love to hear from you.

This policy is reviewed annually.
